Stephanie Reynolds practices in the area of employment and business litigation matters. She represents employee and employer clients in a variety of disputes with a particular focus on wage and hour issues for individuals and class actions, wrongful termination, employment discrimination, retaliation, harassment, misclassification of employees, and disputes involving employment agreements. Stephanie practices in both state and federal court and has obtained favorable results for her clients in mediation, arbitration, and at trial. Stephanie is active in the local labor and employment and litigation sections of the San Diego Bar Association and contributes to employment law treatises. In 2013, Stephanie became a partner in Pope, Berger, Williams & Reynolds, LLP.
Prior to joining Pope, Berger & Williams, LLP in April 2009, Stephanie was an associate at a large law firm where she represented manufacturers nationwide in product liability cases and business litigation matters. During her legal career, Stephanie has represented clients in employment matters and in business disputes which have included claims for fraud, unfair business practices and protection of intellectual property rights.
Stephanie obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado – Boulder in 1997 where she obtained a full athletic scholarship and was captain of the Division I women’s soccer teams (U. of Hartford and U. of Colorado). She received her J.D. from Western New England College School of Law in 2001. While in law school, Stephanie was a member of the National First Amendment Moot Court team and was an intern with the Hampden County District Attorney’s Office and the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Stephanie was actively involved in several organizations including the Criminal Law Society, Women’s Law Society and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, which provided income tax assistance to low-income, elderly and disabled individuals.
Stephanie is a member of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association, the San Diego County Bar Association, and the Association of Business Trial Lawyers. Stephanie is also member of the Lawyer’s Club of San Diego where she Co-Chair’s the Professional Advancement Committee. Stephanie is also a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) through Voices for Children, a nonprofit organization which advocates for the interests of abused, neglected and abandoned children within the San Diego County Foster Care System, and a volunteer for the San Diego County Bar Association Servicemember’s Civil Relief Act Program, where she appears pro bono on behalf of active duty military service members who are sued in court. Stephanie also devotes a significant amount of her time volunteering as a mentor to law students and new attorneys in San Diego.
